Payments: We require all travel to be paid in advance. Please see trip information for payment deadlines. Exact payment deadlines vary from tour to tour, but generally we require all payments to be made 90-120 days before departure. When booking airline tickets through Sunlight Tours, LLC, payment is due upon booking the airline tickets. We accept cash, check, bank transfer, or credit card.
Deposit: All tours require a $500 non-refundable deposit per person to hold the reservation, unless otherwise noted in specific tour information and/or other arrangements are made with Sunlight Tours, LLC. Generally deposits are non-transferable, unless otherwise specified by Sunlight Tours, LLC.
Passports: All travelers must have a valid passport at least one month before traveling with Sunlight Tours, LLC. All costs associated with acquiring a valid passport are the responsibility of the traveler. Please note the expiration date of your passport. Airlines and most countries will reject passports that are within 6 months of their expiration date.
Visas: Sunlight Tours, LLC will provide the specific country/countries visa information and requirements within the pre-travel information. It is expected that all travelers will abide by the given directions. Unless noted otherwise, all costs associated with acquiring the proper visa(s) are the responsibility of the traveler.
Cancellation: Cancellations must be submitted in writing to Sunlight Tours, LLC. From the day of registration until 90 days before departure, your deposit is non-refundable (unless otherwise noted). Cancellation costs may also include any airline imposed penalties for cancelling airfare. Refunds for cancellations within 90 days of departure will be as follows:
More than 90 days before departure = A refund of all payments less the non-refundable deposit and any other non-refundable payments made to vendors on your behalf.
60-89 days = 50% of land costs, less the non-refundable deposit and any extra non-refundable payments made to vendors on your behalf.
Less than 60 days = No refund is available.
Airline Cancellation: This is based on the airline policies.
Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is strongly encouraged, especially for international travel. Sunlight Tours, LLC does offer travel insurance from a variety of companies. We can provide a group travel insurance quote that you can opt to add to your tour, or we can provide individual policy quotes for specialized coverage. Please request at the time of paying your deposit. You are not required to purchase travel insurance through Sunlight Tours, LLC.
Accommodations: Prices are based on double occupancy. If you are traveling alone and are open to a roommate, we will do our best to match you with a roommate. However, a match is not always available. A single supplement will then be charged. Single supplement prices are available on each tour.
Itinerary and Changes: Because airlines often change flight schedules, Sunlight Tours, LLC reserves the right to shorten or lengthen the itinerary accordingly and, whenever possible, you will be notified in writing. If itinerary changes necessitate extra overnights, you will be charged $175 per person/per night double occupancy and $300 per person/per night single occupancy. Any other changes and/or deviations from the program and/or departure city listed by the passenger must be provided in writing to Sunlight Tours, LLC no later than 90 days prior to departure. All tours are finalized at 60 days prior to departure and there are no changes or additions to the tour after that time.
Responsibility & Liability: Sunlight Tours, LLC acts only as an agent for the suppliers providing accommodations, transportation, and other services. We are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or irregularity caused by third-party providers.
Travelers are responsible for ensuring they meet all passport, visa, vaccination, and entry requirements for the destination(s). While Sunlight Tours, LLC does our best to communicate these requirements, it is the traveler’s responsibility to ensure requirements are met.
Code of Conduct: All travelers are expected to behave respectfully toward fellow group members, guides, hosts, and the local people and the lands in which we travel. Disruptive and/or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the tour at the traveler’s expense.
Force Majeure: Sunlight Tours, LLC is not liable for changes, delays, or cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, government actions, strikes, pandemics, war). However, we will work with you to reschedule or rebook if such events impact your tour.
Acceptance of Terms: By paying the deposit, all participating travelers acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these policies.
